Distributed in Brazil by Pandora Filmes, the drama The woman who ran away is a South Korean movie released in 2020. While her husband travels for work, Gamhee visits her friends in the vicinity of Seoul. They talk amicably, but each of them has a different expectation of life. The production has a limited premiere, in a few movie theaters in Brazil.

Marry me
American romantic comedy Marry me, from Universal Pictures, is another attraction in theaters this weekend. Here we follow the story of Kat Valdez, a famous pop singer who is paired with her fiancé Bastian. At the height of their success they decide to get married, with the ceremony being broadcast around the world. However, on the wedding day Kat discovers that she is being cheated on and decides to marry someone random in the audience. The film stars Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson and Maluma.

Delicious: From the Kitchen to the World
PlayArte brings to Brazil the French production Delicious: From the Kitchen to the World, 2021. The plot takes place in 18th century France. Just before the Revolution, 1789, a chef fired by his boss needs to gather the strength to open his first restaurant. For this he has the help of a young woman and the process is transformative for everyone involved. Drama with Grégory Gadebois, Isabelle Carré and Benjamin Lavernhe in the cast.

Sacred Exorcism
Co-production between Mexico, Venezuela and USA, Sacred Exorcism is a horror film distributed in Brazil by Imagem Filmes. Peter Williams is a local priest from a town in Mexico who, in the past, was possessed by a demon that caused him to commit a terrible sacrilege. Eighteen years later, the consequences of that sin come back to haunt him and he is faced with a new inner battle. Directed by Alejandro Hidalgo, with Maria Gabriela de Faria, Joseph Marcell and Will Beinbrink in the cast.

Based on one of Agatha Christie’s most successful books, death on the nile is the main opening in Brazilian cinemas this weekend. During a honeymoon trip on the River Nile, couple Linnet Ridgeway and Simon Doyle are aboard the boat Karvak with friends and family. A wealthy heiress is murdered and Hercules Poirot, the world’s most famous detective, happens to be on the ship. The cast includes names like Kenneth Branagh, Gal Gadot and Tom Bateman.
