Nothing will launch its first smartphone early next month. Many of its features are already known, but the big highlight is its design with a transparent back cover and an LED light show like never seen on a smartphone. In addition, it will bring induction charging and reverse charging to the mid-range to power other wireless devices.

The price remains a big unknown… or not. Amazon may have already revealed the price for Europe.

Nothing phone (1) and the invitation-only selling strategy

Nothing phone (1) is scheduled to perform on July 11th. The public, given the information already revealed, does not seem to have been very surprised by the general specifications, but without a doubt the design will be an important factor to consider.

Nothing is using the strategy that OnePlus used when the first "flagship killer" appeared on the Android market, which makes sense, considering that Carl Pei is the founder of both companies. Thus, to have access to the Nothing phone smartphone (1) potential buyers will have to be on a waiting list and will have to have access to an invitation to purchase. These invitations will be released in a controlled manner.

After all, how much will the Nothing phone (1) smartphone cost? come find out

According to updated data on Nothing's website, at the time of writing this article, there were already 180,389 people on the waiting list. You can join the list here.

Although the price range is easily predictable, looking at what the market offers, there are still many questions. Could this be a "midi range killer" and come with a highly competitive price or, on the other hand, given the distinction in terms of design, see its price set above expectations?

Prices appear on Amazon

Despite all this speculation and exclusivity, Amazon Germany published listings of a Nothing phone (1) in a pack with Nothing Ear (1) and prices per product were mentioned for two smartphone variants. However, the product listing disappeared from the sales platform.

You can see that 8GB + 128GB model is priced at €469.99 and another 12GB + 256GB model is priced at €549.99. Two colors of the smartphone are also visible, black and white, both with the transparent back and the set of LEDs created for this model.

The truth is that this may not correspond to the actual price of the product and represent only a reservation of the price space, until the official value is released. For example, in the images, the expected date for the launch of the product is October 26, when there is already a certainty that it will be presented on July 12. Even though it might go on sale just a few days later, October will be a long way off.

Remember that the Nothing phone (1) will come equipped with a Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 778G, and that it will come with Android 12, modified by the new user interface created by Nothing, NothingOS.
