Android 13: Here you can check whether your mobile phone gets the update

Samsung, for example, guarantees its community software updates for digital devices for at least three years. Other developers are also pulling along and enabling their users to derive a number of things. Because it is not only that the hardware in question is up-to-date that is decisive. So it is already known which models update to Android 13 are likely to receive.

Android 13 for Samsung, Huawei and Co.

The update obligation for digital devices has been in effect since January 1, 2022. This primarily relates to security updates and no specific period has yet been set. Nevertheless, the old federal government has taken an important step towards the digital age. However, Android 13 initially only benefits from the promises made by the manufacturers themselves.

Samsung

In mid-2020, Samsung announced that it wanted to provide all flagship models with at least three Android updates. In the case of Android 13, these include the following:

Google

The newer Pixel models will receive security patches for five years. How often they will receive the new Android version is left open by Google. The following should still get Android 13:

  • Google Pixel 4
  • Google Pixel 4 XL
  • Google Pixel 4a
  • Google Pixel 4a 5G
  • Google Pixel 5
  • Google Pixel 5a
  • Google Pixel 6

Xiaomi

Similar to Samsung, the smartphones from Xiaomi will each receive Android updates for three years. So far, however, this is only certain for the newer flagships:

  • Xiaomi Mi 11
  • Xiaomi Mi 11i
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G
  • Xiaomi 11T
  • Xiaomi 11T Pro
  • Xiaomi 12 (Pro)

LG

So far, LG has confirmed the update to Android 13 for the following devices:

  • LG Wing
  • LG Velvet
  • LG Velvet 4G

Other manufacturers

Some new features of Android 13 are already known. But as far as the rollout is concerned, you have to wait a while. So far, it is certain that in addition to the ones already mentioned, smartphones from brands such as OnePlus, Nokia and Sony will also receive the update. We keep you up to date.
