Android 12 has now arrived on the smartphones of almost all brands. After all, the rollout has been in full swing for several months. But it was the predecessor of the new operating system that gave us a feature that is hidden in the depths of your smartphone settings. In an emergency, the notification history on your Android phone save the day
Android phone: How to turn on notification history
Google always strives to keep its operating system up to date. With each update, the community receives a multitude of new functions that are not always easy to keep track of. The same applies to the notifications that arrive on your Android phone throughout the day. Various pushes come from apps that are supposed to tell you the weather, your fitness level or the latest news. Every once in a while, they hide something important—and sometimes you don’t realize it until you’ve swiped the notification away.
The notification history prevents this same problem. If you ever feel like you’ve missed something important, you can easily track the history of your pushes there. The function can be activated quite easily, but it is well hidden. Here’s how to find and activate them:
- Open the “Settings” on your Android phone.
- Tap the “Notifications” tab.
- Now select “Advanced settings” and then “Notification history”.
If you have not used the history before, you will only find a slider there. If you put it down, all those notifications that you simply wiped away will be displayed here in the future.
Hidden android features
You don’t always have to tap through the settings to find useful features. Sometimes a simple click on the volume control is enough to discover a secret function. The app history of your Android cell phone also hides one or the other gimmick that you may not be familiar with.
