Annika Lau (42) will be on the air with the magazine “Gala” on RTL in the second quarter of 2022. The station announced this Thursday (February 3). The format is launched as a TV offshoot of the people and lifestyle magazine of the same name. An exact slot is not yet known.
In mid-January, RTL announced that Lau would switch from Sat.1 to the broadcaster on May 1st. “It’s a great new challenge that awaits me. And I’m really happy that I can be part of the RTL family from May,” said the presenter in a statement.

“I am very pleased that we were able to win over Annika Lau for ‘Gala’. She has been in the limelight for years and, with her authentic and fresh manner, is the perfect presenter for the new RTL format,” says Martin Gradl, editor-in-chief of the magazine “RTL News”.
Since 2006, Lau has mainly worked for the station Sat.1. There she was and is to be seen on “Sat.1-Frühstücksfernsehen” or in formats such as “Das Große Backen” and “Das Magazin”. In addition to her TV career, the wife of actor Frederick Lau (32) is also on Spotify and Co. – in “Fancy und Lau – Der Familienpodcast” the mother of three reports on having children and family life.
