Apple has officially announced the Black Unity Braided Solo Loop which is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 and above.
according to a report by GSMArena, Apple released the limited-edition Watch Series 6 Black Unity last year to celebrate black history and culture, and continuing the tradition, Apple has now also announced the Black Unity Braided Solo Loop for its smartwatches.
The Apple Watch Black Unity Braided Solo Loop was designed by members and allies of Apple’s black creative community.
The product is reportedly created by weaving 16,000 recycled yarn and silicone yarn using precision braiding machines. The Solo Loop also has a laser-etched Black Unity message on the straps and Pan-African flag colors woven into the strap, which appears as a dappled light on the black band.
Apple has officially said that the bracelet’s design “symbolizes a common belief in the need for a fairer world,” and to complement it, the tech giant has also announced the Unity Lights watch face, designed using 2D ray tracing.
The Unity Lights watch face can be customized to be a full screen or circular face and includes a black and white option, tick marks, a monogram and up to four complications.
Additionally, Apple has released Afrofuturism-inspired wallpapers for Mac, iPad and iPhone users so they can show their support for Black History Month.
Black Unity Braided Loop costs $99 (approximately Rs. 7,440) in the US and Rs. 7,900 in India. This is accessible in 41mm and 45mm sizes on Apple’s official website.
