Apple launches public beta of iOS 16 and other operating systems

As expected, Apple, after having released beta 3 of its new operating systems for developers, would be close to releasing the public version. That day has come. This means that anyone can now install iOS 16, even if they are not a registered Apple developer.

iOS 16 brings new features like a completely revamped lock screen, major updates to the Messages app, and much more.

iOS 16 public beta now available

Apple will release the first public betas of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 today, although they don't appear to be available to everyone just yet. Once available, anyone will be able to try out the new features coming to the iPhone later this year in beta form.

The Cupertino company also released an updated version of iOS 16 beta 3 for programmers with build number 20A5312j.

If you're interested in signing up for Apple's public beta testing program, you can do so. via the Apple website here. The new version of Apple's software won't be complete until the fall, when it will be released to the general public. Testers should still expect performance and stability issues when running iOS 16 public beta.

Therefore, it is important that you understand that the new operating systems, in this beta version, are still under development. It is important not to test on production machines.
