Although the focus is already on iOS 16, Apple continues to develop iOS 15 and has now released the beta 4 version of iOS 15.6. This version, still in progress, brings some improvements and fixes. It will eventually be the version that will accompany, for example, the iPhone 7 until the end of its life, as it will no longer support the next system to be launched in September.

Thus, and continuing the process, the Cupertino company releases beta 4 of iOS 15.6, iPadOS 15.6, tvOS 15.6, macOS 12.5 and watchOS 8.7.

iOS 15.6 beta 4 comes to fix small bugs

Apple hasn't added many new features in iOS 15. In fact, these are the latest big news that the company has brought to iOS 155:

Here's what Apple announced with iOS 15.5 earlier this month:

  • Wallet app updates and new handy HomePod feature;
  • Support for applications with external purchases;
  • Integration of Bancomat and Bancontact entities in Apple Pay;
  • Rename provided in iTunes Pass in Wallet app;
  • System functionality that will block “Sensitive Locations” for Memories in the Photos app;
  • security fixes

now the current version of iOS 15.6 beta 4 is 19G5056c. As we have been able to witness, these versions do not bring, at least visibly, any important feature.

Focus is now on iOS 16

On June 22nd, Apple made iOS 16 beta 2 available to developers but also beta two for iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16.

Therefore, Apple is preparing two versions simultaneously to serve a wide range of equipment.
