Apple is normally a transparent company and very close to its users. Today the company warned of serious security flaws in iPhones, iPads and Macs (that is, a good part of its portfolio).

According to the apple company, ‘hackers’ can take full control of these devices.

Apple: Hackers can take control of devices

According to two Apple security reports, published on Wednesday, 'software' flaws could allow 'hackers' to take full control of devices. The tech giant also stressed that it is “aware of the existence of a report that indicates that this issue may have been actively exploited”.

Security experts have advised users of these devices to update affected devices: iPhones 6S and later, various iPad models including 5th generation and later, all models of iPad Pro and iPad Air 2, and Mac computers with MacOS Monterey . Security flaws also affect some iPod models.

The security vulnerability means that a 'hacker' can gain "full admin access to the device" so they can "execute any code as the user", explained Rachel Tobac, CEO of SocialProof Security.

For Rachel Tobac, activists or journalists should pay particular attention to updating 'software' on their devices, to avoid being a target of spying.
