Birgit Schrowange (63) starts with two formats in the Sat.1 program. From March 7, 2022, the newcomer will design the channel’s Monday evening, as Sat.1 announced this Wednesday (January 26). On the one hand Schrowange meets strong women, on the other hand she tells her own life story. “In the past it would have been unthinkable for a 63-year-old gray-haired woman to present a program on television. I’m glad that has changed,” says the former “Extra” presenter, looking forward to her new job.
In “Birgit’s strong women” (8:15 p.m.), the presenter meets well-known and unknown women who have a special life story every Monday. So there are meetings with the midwife and mother of seven Kerstin or singer Mandy Capristo (31), who burned out after 14 years and found herself again. At the start of the series, the broadcaster will then show the documentary “Me, Birgit Schrowange!” (10:15 p.m.). In the the presenter tells about her existence as a strong woman and gives insights into her everyday life and her eventful life.

At the end of 2019, after 25 years with RTL, Birgit Schrowange turned her back on her cult show “Extra”. At the time, she said in a statement that she actually wanted to say goodbye to TV completely: “I’m very lucky to be healthy and I want to have more time for my private life and for things that I enjoy and that fulfill me.”
Her comeback was announced last December. The moderator is to present other formats on Sat.1. In the spring, she will show stories of different families in “We will be more”, which will grow in various ways. In the summer there will also be another series of reports with her.
