New iPhone SE 5G in the works
Apple seems to have finished developing the iPhone SE for 2022 for some time. Rumors and leaks about the new model have been sloshing around for months. On the one hand, they come from analysts who observe the market very closely, but on the other hand, anonymous insiders of the group also comment on the innovations from time to time. It has therefore been known for a long time that Apple is planning a new iPhone SE.
According to industry watcher Ross Young, the lower-cost alternative to the company’s flagships won’t go into production until this month. There had previously been talk of Apple’s suppliers having started doing this in December.
“The Apple 5G SE model will start panel production this month. Phone production will likely start in March. This means that a launch is likely for 2H [zweite Hälfte] April/early May with sale from late April or early May.”

Slight delay
In mid-January, Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman predicted in his Power On newsletter that the iPhone SE 5G would be launched in March 2022. If you believe the current information, Apple is apparently a little behind schedule. This could sometimes be due to the worldwide shortage of chips. This and other reasons are said to be responsible for the fact that the iPhone 14 prices are said to be higher than initially assumed.
