In March 2021, “Raya and the Last Dragon” was released in cinemas and parallel to it on Disney Plus (in the VIP area). The film has numerous fans and almost consistently positive reviews. The question of a continuation is justified. But how realistic is “Raya and the Last Dragon 2“?

“Raya and the Last Dragon 2”: How likely is it?

At the moment it is not officially known that “Raya and the Last Dragon 2” is being worked on. But in our opinion two things speak for the fact that there may well be a sequel: First, Disney is known for the fact that it doesn’t just stop at one movie (see “Cruella 2” or “Aladdin 2”). And secondly, the first part was very well received by viewers and critics.

On the Rotten Tomatoes review collection site, 94 percent of the 283 reviews are positive. At IMDb we can capture the mood of the audience: More than 122,000 people give an average of 7.4 out of 10 stars.

But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, the same evil power has returned and it is up to a lone warrior, Raya, to locate the legendary last dragon in order to reunite the divided land and its divided people. On her journey, however, she learns that there is more than one dragon to save the world – trust and solidarity are just as important. “(Via Disney)
