As you may have noticed, when you access the Messenger application, users' icons are accompanied by a green dot, if they are online, or by the information of how long ago they were last.

While there are users who don't mind seeing this information shared, there are others who would prefer that their internet friends didn't know about the status of their activity.

If that's your case, you're in the right place. This is because, today, we are going to show you how you can, in a very simple way, deactivate Online Status in Messenger.

Disable Online State in Messenger on iOS

Open the Messenger app on your iOS smartphone and select the your profile iconin the upper left corner.

click in Online status.

disable the option Show when you're online.

Confirm the option Disable Online state?clicking on disable.

After that, your friends will no longer know when you are or have been on Messenger. However, it should be noted that by deactivating your status, you will also not be able to access the activity status of your friends and contacts.
