dr Carola Holzner (39), better known as “Doc Caro”, will work exclusively for Sat.1 in the future. The broadcaster announced this on Thursday (January 27). The doctor herself is “madly” looking forward to the projects: “My greatest wish is to get people excited about medicine and, above all, about their own health and to give them facts and tips with heart, humor and on an equal footing.”

Channel boss Daniel Rosemann (41) is also looking forward to working together. Holzner fits “perfectly with the new Sat.1”. Editor-in-Chief Juliane Eßling commented on the planned projects: “Dr. Carola Holzner will regularly enrich the prime time in Sat.1. We develop formats in which there is room for their medical competence and experience and their emphatic view of life.”

Who is Doc Caro?

Holzner is a specialist in anesthesiology and specializes in the areas of emergency and intensive care medicine. As “Doc Caro” she also imparts medical knowledge, which she explains in a way that laypeople can understand. She shares this knowledge on her YouTube and Instagram channels. She now has 36,000 and 214,000 subscribers there respectively. In addition, the mother of two has been producing her own podcast (“On Heart and Ears”) since January and has already written the number one bestseller “One for All: As an Emergency Doctor Between Hope and Reality”. She also gained media experience through appearances on television and radio.
