Released on October 4, 2021, Android 12 has been growing in the list of most used versions of this system. Google has done an excellent job with the new features and this is showing in the way it has been used.

Of course, the installation of this version always depends on the manufacturers and what they produce in the updates. Now a list of the brands that were the fastest to update to Android 12 has emerged. Discover the complete list.

The last few years have shown a completely different position of brands in the face of Android updates. These arrive faster and for more years for smartphones that are already on the market and available.

#1 - Samsung

Smasung was the fastest to prepare the arrival of Android 12 to its smartphones. It followed its development cycle and One UI 4 reached many of its smartphones.

OPPO is another manufacturer that has accelerated the pace when it comes to updates. It has extended the lifespan of smartphones and extended the number of versions available.

Being a brand from the same group as OPPO, OnePlus followed the same path. The union between ColorOS and OxygenOS was about to happen, but not yet in Android 12.

Betting on almost pure Android, more was expected from HMD and Nokia. With Android 12 it showed that some smartphones are left out, something that was not expected.

Despite being a brand that now bets heavily on Portugal, vivo shows that it wants to keep a good record in the field of updates.

Sony has long since lost its position in the smartphone market. Still, the Japanese company did not fail to bring the new proposal to its equipment.

#7 - Xiaomi

The last few years have shown that Motorola seems to have slowed down slightly on the preparation of updates. This time it was 125 days, a high value compared to its competition.

LG has a very interesting position here. Even after leaving the smartphone market, the brand still seems focused on Android and has not failed to bring Android 12 to its latest models.

#10 - Realme

  • First stable release date: March 22, 2022
  • Days that have passed since the official launch of the operating system: 168 days

More was expected from Realme, given its proximity to OPPO, OnePlus and live. The brand needed 168 days to show its version of Android 12 and even then we still have many smartphones without any updates.


With Android 13 being prepared by Google, these values ‚Äč‚Äčleave good indications for the future. This should be a version that will arrive sooner and that more smartphones will have access to.
