FIFA announced this Tuesday the launch of a free digital platform for live streaming of matches from different leagues, access to the international archive since 1950, as well as statistics and original video content.

The FIFA+ platform will stream more than 40,000 matches from championships from around 100 countries, including women’s football.

FIFA+: next step towards making football truly global

In addition to information about competitions and interactive games, there will be productions of their own that will feature the 'glories' of Brazil Ronaldinho, Dani Alves or Ronaldo, the Belgian Lukaku and the English Luzy Bronze or the North American Carli Lloyd.

“The FIFA+ platform represents the next step in our vision of making football truly global and inclusive and supports FIFA's core mission to expand and develop football globally,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

This project represents a cultural shift in the way different types of football fans want to integrate and explore the global game and has been a key part of my Vision. This will accelerate the democratization of football and we are delighted to share this project with the fans.

The "FIFA+" archive will contain all the men's and women's World Cup matches that were recorded, in a total of more than two thousand hours of images. For now, there will be 2,500 videos since the 1950s.

Match Center will allow football fans to enjoy an immersive experience across 400 men's competitions and 65 women's competitions. A daily news feed from around the world of men's and women's football will also complement and offer additional updates. Throughout the year, fans will be able to enjoy interactive games including polls, quizzes, fantasy games and predictions.
