Apple shared the first trailer for its upcoming TV+ exclusive Bright girls. With Elisabeth Moss from Mad Men and the servant’s tale fame as a Chicago reporter on the hunt for the man who assaulted her, the series will premiere on April 29 with the first three episodes of the series available to stream the same day. Subsequent episodes will follow every Friday for the next five weeks.
Based on the bestseller of the same name, Bright girls also stars Hamilton actor Phillipa Soo and Wagner Moura, best known for playing Pablo Escobar on Netflix narcos. The story revolves around a man named Harper Curtis, a Depression-era drifter who finds a house in Chicago with doors to other time periods. Curtis uses this power to kill young people with bright potential. The tale’s protagonist, Kirby Mazrachi, survives his encounter with Curtis and then turns the tables on him.
