Daniel Craig (53) gets famous company again: Netflix has given fans a first look at the film “Knives Out 2”. The strip by Rian Johnson (48) is scheduled to premiere on the streaming service later this year. An exact date has not yet been set, but what is certain is that Craig is investigating again as detective Benoit Blanc.
The sequel to the cinema film “Knives Out” (2019) is set in Greece. Featuring Ethan Hawke (51), Dave Bautista (53), Edward Norton (52), Janelle Monáe (36), Kathryn Hahn (48), Leslie Odom Jr. (40), Kate Hudson (42), Jessica Henwick ( 29) and Madelyn Cline (24). In a preview of the films for 2022, Netflix shows a few seconds of “Knives Out 2”. In it, Craig, aka Blanc, appears to be going on a yacht. Kate Hudson, among others, can be seen behind him with a patterned dress and a wide summer hat.

Not much is known about the plot of the film, which could be released in autumn. Netflix says: “In the sequel to Rian Johnson’s ‘Knives Out: Family Matters,’ detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to solve a case involving new twisted suspects.”
In the spring of 2021, it was announced that Netflix would shoot two sequels to the box office hit “Knives Out”. According to media reports, the streaming service paid more than 400 million US dollars (about 350 million euros) for it. The first part was celebrated by audiences and critics in 2019 and was also financially successful: At a cost of 40 million US dollars (35 million euros), the film grossed more than 311 million dollars (271 million euros) worldwide. According to Variety, Craig is said to be making $100 million for the two sequels.
