Yesterday (24), while presenting the model ix through a live with the streamer Bruno Nobru on Twitch, the BMW announced that the smart electric car is now available for pre sale in Brazil. The models can be purchased at all BMW dealerships in the country and on the company’s official website.
In the country, the BMW iX model will arrive in two versions: the xDrive40 and the xDrive50 Sport, where both work through electric motors. Vehicle prices start at R$ 654,950 and one of them has a range of up to 630 km.
Roberto Carvalho, Commercial Director of BMW do Brasil revealed that the company will supply two chargers (one domestic and one on-board) with the electric SUV. “Understanding the customer’s desire to charge their cars at home, we offer two chargers with the model, which can exceed 600 km of autonomy”, said the executive.
BMW iX versions and prices
With the value of BRL 654,950the version xDrive40 It has a battery pack with a capacity of 76.6 kWh, providing up to 425 km of autonomy based on the WLTP cycle and has a power of 326 hp. The model can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. This version also supports charging up to 150 kW.
in the model xDrive50, the battery capacity is 111.5 kWh, with a range of up to 630 km in the WLTP cycle and 523 hp of power. The version has 195 kW recharge support. The vehicle can is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The price of the top-of-the-line sport model is BRL 799,950.
xDrive40 and xDrive50 Visuals
On the BMW website, interested parties can change the colors of the interior and exterior of the vehicle according to their style. For the interior, the iX xDrive40 model is available in brown (Sensatec Mocha), white (Sensatec Oyster) and black (Sensatec Preto). While on the outside, Phytonic Blue, Mountain Blue Ridge (greenish blue), Alpine White, Sophisto Gray and Sapphire Black are available.
The xDrive50 version has the colors black (Starch leather) and brown (Castanea leather) for the interior and Phytonic Blue, Blue Ridge Mountain (blue-green), Alpine White, Sophisto Gray, Sapphire Black, Storm Bay Gray, Cashmere Silver and Aventurin Red.
Technology and renewable energy
Vehicles use recycled materials in production, the main ones being aluminum and plastic. The Dingolfing plant in Germany was responsible for building the new BMW iX models, using renewable energy in their manufacture.
In addition, the versions of the BMW iX have the Driving Assistant Professional system, which assists and protects the driver and passengers through assistants such as Active Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Keeping Assistant. The vehicles also have five cameras, five radar sensors and 12 ultrasonic sensors used to monitor all sides of the car.
