Florian Silbereisen (40) now had to make a tough decision as a “DSDS” juror. As reported by “RTL.de”, the hit star had to inform a candidate that he had to leave the RTL format. Candidate Mechito (27) hid a current suspended sentence from the jury and those responsible for “DSDS” and is therefore out of the show. “We got to know Mechito as a very talented young man who touched us deeply with his story. In this respect, we are all disappointed that he kept something crucial from us,” explains Florian Silbereisen in an interview with RTL.
“Unfortunately, you didn’t tell us about it and logically there must be consequences. There’s no way we can let you enter the competition like this. That means exclusion here at ‘DSDS’,” emphasizes the juror in a clarifying conversation with Mechito. The candidate reacts with some composure: “I respect your decision and I understand it. I think the only right thing to do is for you to show your composure in the situation. I have to live with the consequences of my mistake.” The encounter, the discussion and the expulsion will be shown on Saturday (February 5, 8:15 p.m., RTL or RTL +) on “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”.
