Fortnite February 8 Patch Notes
The fortnite update is launching today February 8 on all platforms, so here is the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Since this is just labeled as a fix, Fortnite unfortunately doesn’t have too much exciting content to sink your teeth into this week. That being said, there is a new weapon that should shake things up. This comes in the form of a small submachine gun, modeled in the same style as something like an Uzi submachine gun. Considering this will be a nice and quick set of patch notes, let’s waste no more time. Without further ado, here are all the new features of its February 8th update!
Go close with the submachine gun
Do you like to fight your battles up close and personal? The submachine gun deals intense damage when your opponent is in range. It is also effective at longer ranges, as long as you shoot in shorter bursts to maintain accuracy. This pistol has an extended magazine size for slightly more sustained fire.
Find submachine guns on the ground, in normal chests, rare chests and supply drops, as well as in fishing and sharks.
- The submachine gun is not included in the competitive playlists but is subject to a trial period.
Yes, unfortunately this is the only change made this week. That being said, there’s quite a bit of versatility in the small submachine gun. As the developers themselves said, this weapon can dominate when used at shorter distances to deal large amounts of burst damage. And while his effectiveness decreases as enemies advance, he can still deliver a right hand punch. All in all, an interesting if unremarkable addition.
The fortnite update from February 8 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch. For more information on this updatesee the official website.
