As we have been following, the price of fuel has fluctuated enormously since the war between Russia and Ukraine began. Prices go up and down every week and the Portuguese don’t always know very well if the amount to be paid is adjusted.

To clarify drivers, ERSE launched a reference table with fuel values.

Fuels: ERSE releases report for this week

Every Monday, the "efficient price" of each fuel will be published on the website of the Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE). According to ERSE, the "efficient price" is an average weekly price determined by the entity and determined by the sum of the following components: fuel prices in the international reference markets and the respective maritime freight, primary logistics, including in this part the strategic reserves and security of the National Petroleum System, the extra costs with the incorporation of biofuels and the retail component plus the respective taxes.

Today ERSE launched the Weekly Sales Price Supervision Report to the Public for the week of May 30, 2022 to June 5, 2022.

It should also be noted that the Minister of the Environment and Climate Action, Duarte Cordeiro, recently announced that he intends to have, as of this Wednesday, June 1st, the new tool that will allow the fixing of maximum fuel prices, if that is understood. What is necessary.
