The Government determined the reduction of the ISP rate on gasoline, starting next week, translating into an overall relief of 24.6 cents per litre, and maintained the rate for diesel, with a decrease of 21.5 cents, was announced.

Taking into account the perspective of price developments next week, the Government determines to reduce the ISP rate by 0.5 cents per liter of gasoline, starting next Monday, May 30th.
In turn, the ISP rate applicable to diesel will remain unchanged, “considering the accumulated deviation from previous weeks, which is estimated to be 0.8 cents per liter next week”.
Thus, taking into account the measures in force (weekly mechanism for reviewing the ISP and reduction of unit rates to the equivalent of a VAT rate of 13%), the reduction in the tax burden will correspond to 21.5 cents per liter of diesel and 24.6 cents per liter of gasoline.
Consulting DGEG data, the average price of simple 95 gasoline is today at 2,029 euros/liter and that of simple diesel is 1,759 euros/liter (average in 2,426 stations).
Additive gasoline 98 has a PVP of 2,194 euros/liter (average at 892 stations).
