Now it’s official! The Galaxy S22 line has arrived with great news for productivity and Qualcomm fans. During and at the Galaxy Unpacked event, held today, Samsung confirmed several previous leaks, both in design and specifications, with two highlights: the S Pen stylus was incorporated into the body of the S22 Ultra, uniting the entertainment proposal with productivity and suggesting the official burial of the Galaxy Note line. The second highlight, in response to requests from a legion of Brazilian consumers: all 03 models – Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra – will arrive in Brazil equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

As previously speculated, the Galaxy S22 series smartphones hit the market with two possible chips, both with 4 nanometer lithography: the Exynos 2200 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. RDNA architecture and promises to balance the game with Qualcomm’s SoC, the Korean company preferred to please Brazilian fans and bring the version with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to Brazil. By the way, we have video about it here.

On the camera side, the top-of-the-line S22 Ultra will have a 108 MP main lens with SuperClear technology. The rest of the quadruple set is formed by a 12 MP ultra wide and two 10 MP teles: one with 3x zoom and the other 10x. Samsung also created Nightography, to promote new technologies that improve the capture of night photos, which also takes advantage of the new SuperClear lens. For Nightography, the manufacturer designed a camera with a higher light input, allowing it to show more details and capture colors, even in the dark, by combining two photos from the same sensor, one at 108MP resolution and another at 12MP, which merges 9 pixels into 1, to create a 2.4 micron pixel, capable of capturing more light. The result is a photo with a resolution of 108MP, with good quality and that manages to capture more details, at least that’s the promise. The camera stabilizer has also been improved to work better at night, combining hardware optical and software digital stabilization. Still on the cameras side, Samsung has updated the camera app so that it works better in the Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok apps and now you can record videos in portrait mode, with a blurred background, directly in these apps.

On the screen part, another advance. The S22 Ultra’s 6.8″ screen features QuadHD resolution and 2X Dynamic AMOLED, with a variable refresh rate between 1Hz (I didn’t spell it wrong) and 120 Hz, adapting to the type of content the user is consuming. The brightness reaches 1,750 nits. in peaks, probably making the screen of the S22 Ultra (and the S22+) the brightest on the market. The company promises quality brightness, also implementing a technology that allows you to adjust the colors according to the ambient lighting, mapping the pixel colors by pixel and adjusting to avoid distortions even in the most extreme situations.
