It doesn’t take much to Samsung introduce us to their new flagship smartphones from the Galaxy S line, and we’ve already disclosed here some spec leaks for these devices. However, now comes one of the most important information for those who are keeping an eye on the South Korean news: the prices.

According to sources leaker Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech, the three new devices in the Galaxy S22 line will hit the international market at the same suggested prices as last year. The standard model, Galaxy S22, would cost $799while the Galaxy S22+ would go up to $999 and the Galaxy S22 Ultra for US$ 1,199. Until then, rumors claimed that the devices would arrive for higher values than the predecessor line.

Making a comparison with the latest smartphone lineup from apple, for example, the Galaxy S22 and S22+ are tied with the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro, while the S22 Ultra will cost $100 more than its rival. Here we are dealing with starting prices.

What to expect from the new Galaxy S22

According to rumors and leaks that we have so far, the Galaxy S22 will be the company’s first device to feature the GPU made in partnership with AMD on the Exynos 2200 processor. This could bring some interesting features for those looking to play games on their smartphone, such as Ray Tracing. However, several markets can receive the device with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC – including Brazil.

The screen sizes would be 6.1, 6.6 and 6.8 inches with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, all AMOLED type. The difference is that the Ultra model would bring Quad HD+ resolution, while the others will use the Full HD+ standard.

dealing with cameras, the expectation is that the S22 and S22+ will bring 50MP main cameras. The top-of-the-line model would have 108MP sensor with SuperClear technology, plus a 12MP ultrawide camera and two 10MP telephotos.

One unknown we have so far is related to the fast charging support of these devices, which may differ depending on the market. Chinese bodies, for example, have certified devices with 25W fast charging, while in Denmark this has risen to 45W for the S22+ and Ultra models. Rumors have already mentioned 3700mAh batteries for the standard smartphone, 4500mAh for the S22+ and 5000mAh for the Ultra device. But there is a great possibility that these devices come without a charger in the box.

Finally, there may be a reduction in the amount of RAM on the Galaxy S22 Ultra model. It would have options with 8GB or 12GB, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra had a third option with 16GB.

The launch of the new Galaxy S22 will take place on February 9thwhen Samsung will stream Galaxy Unpacked at 11:40 am ET on its YouTube channel and TikTok.
