More than 550 people were arrested in the last week by the GNR, the majority for driving with excessive alcohol, but also for cell phone use.

28 firearms, 14 bladed or prohibited weapons, 446 ammunition and 15 vehicles were also seized, according to the GNR.

The arrests resulted from a series of operations carried out by the GNR military across the country, between the 29th of July and the 4th of August, aimed at preventing and combating crime and road accidents, as well as the inspection of various matters. of an administrative offense.

In these seven days, 552 people were arrested in “flagrante delicto”, the majority (211) for driving under the influence of alcohol and for driving without a legal license (111), according to GNR data released in a statement.

58 were also detained on suspicion of drug trafficking, 19 for theft and robbery, 17 for illegal possession of weapons and prohibited weapons and nine for domestic violence and four for involvement in forest fire.

During the operations, the GNR also seized about 7,500 doses of hashish, 1,887 stamps of LSD, 1,306.95 doses of cocaine, 928.8 doses of heroin, 764,884 doses of lime, 18 MDMA tablets, eight doses of cannabis oil. .

In traffic inspection actions, the military detected 7,628 infractions, of which 1,720 for speeding and 494 for driving with a blood alcohol level higher than that allowed by law and 225 for driving on a cell phone.
