Traditionally, they are announced the day before the Oscar nominations are announced: the nominees for the “Golden Raspberry” negative award. The big losers this year are Amy Adams (47) and Jared Leto (50). The two established stars were nominated twice for the raspberry. They are only topped by Bruce Willis. He’s been nominated eight times.
Amy Adams has been nominated for an Oscar six times. Now two nominations for the anti-Oscar are added. For her starring role in the Netflix thriller The Woman in the Window and supporting role in the musical Dear Evan Hansen.
Jared Leto caught it twice for a movie. The Oscar winner (2014 for “Dallas Buyer’s Club”) is nominated for “House of Gucci” as Worst Supporting Actor. And he finds his way into the joke category “Worst Duo” – in connection with either his latex face mask or his “ridiculous accent” according to the jury.
Mel Gibson and Ben Affleck for Worst Supporting Actors
Other established actors with a nomination include Mel Gibson (66, “Dangerous”) and Ben Affleck (49, “The Last Duel”).
In the top category “Worst Film” landed the Amy Adams film “The Woman in the Window”, the Lady Di musical “Diana the Musical”, the racism drama “Karen”, the remake “Space Jam: A New Legacy” and the thriller “Infinite” with Mark Wahlberg (50), who is also nominated for the worst leading actor.
Own category for Bruce Willis!
But Bruce Willis (66) shoots the bird. The makers of the “Golden Raspberry” introduced a separate category for him: “The worst performance by Bruce Willis in a film from 2021”. In it they name all eight films in which the “Die Hard” star appeared in 2021.
