As of July 1, 2022, the Google G Suitethe legacy and free edition of the service Google Workspace, will be extinguished. If you use the service, you will need to upgrade your account to workspace so you don’t lose your access and your account. However, you will have to subscribe to the platform. How to upgrade from G Suite to Workspace
Upgrading your account to Google Workspace will be allowed until May 1, 2022. To start the upgrade, you will have to choose a subscription to workspace. The service has options for companies, with features such as email customizations and video calls with multiple participants, and individual, for professionals or just those who want to have a workspace. The professional service is sold in dollars, costing US$ 9.99. It gives the option of 24/7 support, extended video calls and service scheduling page. See the steps of upgrade:
- Access the Admin Console;
- Select your new subscription offer;
- Enter billing information;
- After upgrading, you will be able to use your new subscription and the features of Google Workspace at no cost until at least July 1, 2022.
If you do nothing by May 1, 2022, the Google will begin to gradually upgrade your organization to a new Google Workspace subscription. The new subscription will be based on your current use of the legacy and free edition of G Suite. If you do not enter your billing information before July 1, 2022, your subscription will be suspended.
If your needs have changed and you don’t want to upgrade to a Google Workspace, export your organization’s data with the Takeout feature.
