The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones are getting a new update for the “At a Glance” widget. The update is said to bring bedtime and fitness settings to users. The new At a Glance settings are said to be part of the January update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones. The new At a Glance widget update – part of the January update – brings many options such as Doorbell, Timer and Stopwatch, Bedtime and more.
According for Android analyst Mishaal Rahman, Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users will get some new settings for the At a Glance widget for the Pixel launcher. Currently, users will receive toggles for timer and stopwatch, Time to sleep, and Fitness Definitions. THE Fitness the setting is said to show data from Adidas Running and Strava. It is speculated that the Fitness The setup will also support other fitness apps. At a Glance also has an option to hide sensitive information on the lock screen.
Android Police reports that these new settings should be available by the 13.1.16.29 update for the Google app on Pixel 6 series smartphones. The settings are considered active by default and users can check them by tapping and holding the At a Glance widget and selecting Preferences in popup menu.
Rahman first shared the update to At a Glance earlier this month. The widget is available until the 13.0.6.29 update for the Google app. The update is said to get toggles for Bell, timer and stopwatch, Time to sleep, Fitness, connected devices, Flashlight, and security check. At the time, Rahman mentioned that just the Bell configuration for the widget was working as part of a server side update.
According to some screenshots shared by Rahman, the At a Glance widget, when connected to a Google Nest doorbell, shows a preview of the visitor as well as a smartphone notification when the doorbell rings. There is no word on when the other settings will be active for Google Pixel 6 users. The update is expected to roll out to all users soon.
