Android 12 has now arrived on smartphones of almost all brands. After all, the rollout has been in full swing for several months. But it was the predecessor of the new operating system that gave us a function that is hidden in the depths of your smartphone settings. In an emergency, the notification history on your Android phone save the day.
Android phone: How to activate the notification history
Google always tries to keep its operating system up to date. With each update, the community receives a multitude of new functions that are not always easy to keep track of. It is very similar in parts with the notifications that arrive on your Android mobile phone throughout the day. Various pushes come from apps that should tell you the weather, your fitness level or the latest news. Every now and then, however, there is something important hidden under them – and sometimes you only notice it after you have wiped away the notification.
The notification history prevents this problem. If you ever feel like you’ve missed something important, you can easily track the history of your pushes there. The function is actually quite easy to activate, but it is well hidden. How to find and activate it:
- Open the “Settings” on your Android phone.
- Tap the Notifications tab.
- Now select “Advanced Settings” and then “Notification History”.
If you have not yet used the history, you will only find a controller there. If you put it down, however, all notifications that you simply wiped away will be displayed here in the future.
Hidden Android features
You don’t always have to tap your way through the settings to find useful features. Sometimes a simple click on the volume control is enough to discover a secret function. There are also some gimmicks hidden in the app history of your Android phone that you may still be unfamiliar with.
