Despite an already crowded market with big names like Airbnb and Vrbo, travel app Hopper is now expanding its services to include short-term home rentals.

With more than two million properties around the world, Hopper Homes (which is available within the Hopper app) should make it a little easier to book airline tickets, car rentals and accommodation (hotel or short stay) in one place.

Hopper says users will be able to apply filters to help narrow down their options based on criteria like location, number of rooms, amenities and price. And in the coming months, the company says it will add support for some of its other booking features, such as Price Prediction and Cancellation for Any Reason, to the new service to help give customers more flexibility in their travel plans.

That last part could end up being one of the biggest differentiators between Hopper Homes and its competitors. Other services like Airbnb allow hosts to select from a variety of cancellation policies including “flexible” plans that allow guests to cancel up to 24 hours before check-in without penalty to “firm” plans that require guests to cancel at least 30 days before check-in.

By adding home rentals to its list of services, the company hopes to attract a growing number of travelers who prefer to stay in rental homes over hotels. Hopper says Zoomers and millennials are especially interested, with more than four in 10 travelers under the age of 35.

Similar to its airline tickets and hotel reservations, Hopper also plans to integrate its Carrot Cash system to help customers save money, with credit gained from booking home rentals that can be applied to other forms of travel.
