Every day, thousands of apps are available for smartphones globally. Nowadays, there are apps for any type of function, for playing games, interacting with other people, watching content and even for financial control.
In this way, a search made by App Annie and released by CupoNation over the period of 3 years, showed that Brazilian citizens are spending more time on apps.
According to the data collected, in 2021, Brazilians spent more than 193 billion hours navigating apps, making the Brazil ranked fourth in the world. The country is just behind Chinawhich ranked first with over 1 trillion hours logged last year, from Indiasecond, and the U.Sthird, which totaled 700 billion and 195 billion hours on platforms, respectively.
Interestingly, last year, China showed a -3.46% drop in time spent on software compared to 2020. In addition to Brazil, among Latin American countries, two others appeared in the Top 20: Argentina in the sixteenth position and the Colombia in the last place. See the full ranking below:

According to the analysis based from the beginning of the survey in 2019 to the year 2021, Brazil had a significant increase in 1,158.60% of the use of applications by the national population.
