Eight years ago “How I Met Your Mother” ended in the USA and yesterday the first episodes of the offshoot were released “How I Met Your Father” shown. The first reactions from the fans are very positive. But when will the series come to Germany?

The ratings from critics, on the other hand, are mixed. The ratings range from rather bad to quite good. The Washington Post’s Inkoo Kang, for example, says How I Met Your Father feels empty and lacks interesting characters or charm.
Collider’s Ross Bonaime, on the other hand, explains that the series not only struggles with the legacy of the past, but also tries to fix the mistakes of its predecessor. “That’s a lot to ask of a sitcom, and who knows if they can pull it off in the long run. But at least for those first four episodes, ‘How I Met Your Father’ got off to a rocky but promising start thanks to its appealing cast and promise.”
