The Watch GT 3 Pro is a clear statement by Huawei in terms of what it manages to create in the area of smartwatches. After many unique and increasingly interesting models, this is the watch that the brand wants to make the market standard, especially in the field of design and functionality.
If at first glance this is a traditional watch, it is with its use and attention to detail that everything reveals itself. This (almost) piece of art is now on our market and, therefore, Pplware will make known what makes it stand out and unique.
A watch or a smartwatch? In fact, both
One of Huawei’s best bets is in its smartwatch area. It has grown in a unique way and is today one of the main players, thanks largely to the different models it has launched, always growing towards what the Watch GT 3 Pro represents.
It is new proposal Huawei plays an important role and is a big bet for the brand, as it debuts new materials and new design lines. The 46 mm model has a titanium finish, while in the model dedicated to the female audience, there is a unique ceramic proposal, something that is not common in other brands.
If, in fact, we see in the 46 mm model a well-known line in Huawei’s smartwatches, the truth is that it innovates and completely changes its design. With a solid and well-structured construction, it has details and cutouts that stand out and elevate the central crown of this watch. It was possible to prove this detail with the use we made, in this case the dial stands out even more.
This is clearly a superior quality device, almost luxurious, but which becomes affordable and simple to use on a daily basis. Solid, beautiful and well built, the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro stands out for its sobriety and quality that it exudes. Despite its size, this watch is not heavy and did not cause discomfort during daily use.
Interestingly, we were approached several times with questions about this device, especially about its design and its features. This detail ensures that the smartwatch will be another Huawei success story.
The model that Pplware had access to was the 46 mm, with a leather strap, but the brand has several proposals in the same model, such as a version with a titanium bracelet and another with a black fluoroelastomer bracelet.

A unique design and noble materials always present
This smartwatch stands out for its unique design, where all the elements are grouped together in a natural way. The sapphire display is resistant, with anti-scratch protection for both normal day-to-day use and more aggressive situations.
On the right we have the only two buttons present, each of which has a different shape and function, with the rotating titanium crown being on top and allowing you to fully control the watch.
From the use we made during the tests carried out, it became almost natural use the crown to navigate the Watch GT3 Pro interface. The second button ended up being reconfigured for a more obvious functionality, this because the sport aspect was not the most important for the user.
Below there is a button/sensor, which allows access to the sport functions, configurable and customizable, but which assumes more functions. This is actually an ECG sensor that will soon be used to do an electrocardiogram.
The least visible part is even the lower area, where Huawei has placed all the sensors that are on the Watch GT 3 Pro. In addition, we have the loading area, which is stored in this area, which is made of nanocrystalline ceramic, which guarantees permanent comfort.
During the tests, this area was never uncomfortable or overheated. The materials present guarantee this almost imperceptible presence.
Autonomy for several days
One point where the Watch GT3 Pro stands out, following what Huawei has in the other models, is in the battery. We managed to have a duration of 14 days in normal use, as the manufacturer promises.
With wireless charging, it’s simple and quick to charge and relatively quickly. In our tests, once again the values met what is promised: 25% of the battery in just 10 minutes, or 100% in less than an hour and a half.
In models dedicated to female public, these values decrease slightly. We have 7 days of battery life in typical use and 4 days in intensive use and a slightly longer charging time.
HarmonyOS, App Gallery and the apps are present
Huawei’s choice to support the Watch GT 3 Pro could only be one. We are talking about HarmonyOS, which continues to be, from our point of view, a good option. This release continues to give users the right elements without the need for essential extras.
Still, Huawei continues to invest in its system and wants to give you more. The proof of this is the possibility of using apps that complement and increase even more the offer that we can use on this watch.
As with previous models, the GT 3 Pro bases all communication with the smartphone in the Huawei Health app. This has grown and is the showcase for the data collected and interpreted, as well as the management of watch faces and even installed apps.
Huawei’s experience in this area, the result of its many years creating smartwatches and smartbands, is very present. The maturity of the app allows for a simple and quick reading of the data, as well as the management of connected equipment.
In the tests carried out, a Huawei smartphone was not used and even so the app behaved irreproachably. It was simple to find and install on the Android Play Store, just like the Apple App Store, and connecting the Huawei GT3 Pro to the smartphone was simple, fast and free of any complex procedure. Just read the QR code on the case of this watch and we went forwarded to the app.
At no time, either in the configuration or in the day-to-day use, was there any problem and the integration is transparent, both on Android and iOS. This one looks like a native app and that gives the user great freedom that doesn’t have to worry.
Another interesting feature of the Watch GT 3 Pro is its ability to receive calls directly on the watch. These arrive via Bluetooth and guarantee a good quality of conversation, as with the previous version.
In addition to all these features, sensors and a unique design, Huawei’s new smartwatch also has GPS and NFC. This is a legacy of the previous models, which are still present and useful in everyday life.
Focus on user health and well-being
Even though it is a classic watch and with all the features of a smartwatch, Huawei wanted to make the Watch GT 3 Pro a central point for collecting health information from users.
With a range of useful and essential information, we have in the Watch GT 3 Pro the measurement of heart rate, SpO2, sleep and stress monitoring. These elements are used to monitor the user and can be permanently active and being controlled.
Each of these user health data streams are controlled in isolation and with special attention.
When evaluating the data collected, whether associated with sleep or measuring heart rate and SpO2, the values are close to the real ones, some of which have even been proven by dedicated medical equipment.
A sports aspect in an elite smartwatch
Something that could not be missing from the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is its entire sports aspect, despite its premium appearance.
Huawei wanted to cover almost all areas of physical activity and therefore ensures that more than 100 activities can be tracked with the Watch GT 3 Pro. These are varied and focus on professional sports or a simple late afternoon run or a trip to the gym and the experience we can get from their use shows that.
Something that the brand wanted to highlight and make a differentiating element were two sports. We are talking about golf, where professional data such as the speed and time of the shot, the backswing time and the downswing time are recorded. There are even helpful demos and tips to take your game to the next level.
Another unique element is diving, where the Watch GT 3 Pro has an IP68 rating of up to 5 ATM for water resistance and withstands an astounding 200 cycles of water pressure. This ensures that it can be used for freediving up to 30 meters deep.
But is the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro really a right choice?
Huawei’s proposal stands out on two fronts, making it an almost obvious choice for anyone looking for a top product. Furthermore, looking at the general market, this is also a device that sets standards when it comes to essential areas.
We’re talking about battery life, build quality and even the health information it can gather, process and present to the user here. It is a proposal with a unique design that stands out naturally in the long list of proposals that the market has.
The prices of the 46 mm Huawei Watch GT3 Pro adjust to what it offers and are between 400 euros (black fluoroelastomer or gray leather model) or 520 euros (titanium model). The 43 mm model, on the other hand, costs 500 euros (white leather) or 620 euros (ceramic model), the result of the use of ceramic, a unique construction material.
Huawei is once again showing that it is heart and soul in its smartwatch area. The proposals continue to improve and gain functionality, with a unique design and features that place it at the top of consumer preference lists.
