In a digital world premiere, marked with the release of a film, Hyundai launched the IONIQ Electrified Streamliner. This is the manufacturer's sub-brand focused only on exclusively electric vehicles. If some previous models have already melted the hearts of consumers, this newly launched promises to surprise even more.
With a suite of advanced technologies, personalized features and spaces and high autonomy, the IONIQ 6 "is the next step in Hyundai's strategy to accelerate the transition to electrification and to assume a position of global leader in EVs".
Furthermore, Hyundai Motor Company President and CEO Jaehoon Chang explained that “The Electrified Streamliner will deliver a unique and distinctive experience for drivers and passengers, optimized in every way to redefine electric mobility.”
Equipped with the E-GMP platform, the new IONIQ model offers a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, supported by 18” rims. In addition, it is 4,855 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,495 mm high. These dimensions give it a distinctive, elegant and outstanding appearance.
Customized and innovative interior
As Thomas Schemera, Global Director of Marketing and Head of Customer Experience Division at Hyundai Motor Company explains, the innovative and spacious interior is “meticulously designed as a cocoon-like haven, enhanced with the latest technologies to create a truly unique driving experience. safe, fun and relaxed”.
The interior has Dual Color ambient lighting, which allows the selection from a spectrum of 64 colors and six themes (healing forest, wonderful day, concentration, mind care, meditation, creative moment), as well as the possibility of changing the brightness. in the front seats based on vehicle speed, with Speed Sync Lightning mode.
THE Hyundai has further customized the ride of your IONIQ 6 with the EV Performance Tune-up performance tuning system, which allows the driver to freely adjust steering effort, engine power, accelerator pedal sensitivity and driveline mode. More than that, it has e-ASD technology, which involves passengers inside the vehicle, as the sound reproduction emulates a spaceship in the cabin and the sound texture is adjusted according to the vehicle's driving state.
For the interior, four colors are available: a combination of dark and light gray, dark olive green with light grey, black with light brown and black.
Hyundai combines technology that can no longer be lacking with safety
The Hyundai IONIQ 6's modular touchscreen panel features a 12" infotainment display and a 12" digital cluster that houses advanced technologies to offer the user an enhanced digital experience that can be customized to meet their needs. The infotainment system provides, in real time, a visual map of the trip based on the current state of the battery, combined with the system that helps to search and plan the best route, in order to include charging stations along the way.
The widescreen is perfectly adapted to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth multi-connection support is also available. The Bose premium sound system's eight speakers, including a subwoofer, placed throughout the vehicle, provide a high-quality listening experience. The navigation system arrives with Bluelink Infotainment/Map updates.
The Hyundai IONIQ 6 is equipped with Hyundai SmartSense, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, ensuring safety and convenience on the road. Furthermore, Driving Assistant on Highway 2 (HDA 2) helps keep the vehicle a set distance and speed from the car in front when driving on a highway and helps to center the vehicle on the lane while driving, even if it is of a curve.

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 is the brand's first model to offer Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates for various vehicle features. This technology allows drivers to update software controlling electrical devices, autonomous driving, battery and more to provide a safer and more convenient driving experience. Drivers can also update maps and multimedia software.
Hyundai IONIQ 6 is available in 12 exterior colors including Gravity Gold Matte, Abyss Black Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Curated Silver Metallic, Nocturne Gray Metallic, Nocturne Gray Matte, Transmission Blue Pearl, Biophilic Blue Pearl, Ultimate Red Metallic, Digital Green Pearl, Digital Green Matte and Byte Blue.
The Electrified Streamliner model will begin production in the third quarter of 2022, with the market launch date announced later.
