And according to the latest information, this next range of Intel processors is expected to consume 40% less energy.

And, compared to the current Alder Lake (12th generation) and Raptor Lake (13th generation) line, the next generation will bring a new manufacturing process called Intel 4, which resembles the innovative 3nm lithography of the Taiwanese TSMC.

If we compare with the current Intel 7 process, the silicon frequency of Meteor Lake chips can be increased by up to 21.5% and the power consumption can also be reduced by up to 40% with the same power. In turn, with these specifications, it is already said that the 6.00 GHz barrier can be exceeded and even that Intel's 14th generation chips can even surpass the powerful Apple M2 in terms of energy efficiency.

In addition, it is also mentioned that Intel Core Meteor Lake processors will arrive in the year 2023, and mass production may happen in the second half of this year. This schedule was already anticipated, as the next generation Raptor Lake 13th generation is expected to arrive later this year.

As for the specifications, Meteor Lake CPUs are expected to have 24 cores, 8 of which will be high performance and the remaining 16 energy efficient. The Redwood Cove and Crestmont architectures will help with the task of increasing performance and efficiency.
