Apple product owners should be excited to see the final version of iOS15.4 wait. There is already a beta version for testing the latest update of the operating system, which currently gives everyone a comprehensive impression of what is to come in the near future. In addition to various innovations, all users should also be happy that something is going away.

iOS 15.4: No more automation messages

iPhone owners know them: the automations. They are actually extremely practical and enable individual “if / then” processes on your own cell phone. This means that automatic processes can be programmed by first defining the conditions. Then you determine what happens when those conditions are met. Once set, they start automatically.

This makes handling even faster and easier. For example, you can set the cell phone to automatically switch to economy mode as soon as the battery level reaches a certain level.

If it weren’t for the extremely annoying notifications whenever an automation takes effect. For example, imagine you are watching a video and suddenly a message interrupts the viewing pleasure. So far, these could not be turned off at all. With iOS 15.4, Apple is finally addressing the problem, as The Verge reports. A new function now allows you to turn the news on and off.

A tiny problem remains

This is also very easy: Simply call up the respective automation and press the corresponding new controller in its options. You have to do this for each of your automations individually.

A small catch remains for the time being. The new option only applies to shortcut automations, not all shortcuts. The latter can also be used to automate various tasks and actions on the phone. An app allows even more individual design options.

The big difference to the automations is that users have to trigger shortcuts manually – you have to let Siri know or press the command separately. Automations are a special form of shortcuts and activate themselves without any action on your part after they have been set once.

In any case, iOS 15.4 contains some exciting innovations. Among them is also an important function for iPhones that is urgently needed right now.
