We are a few days away from the presentation of the new iPhone 14 and other devices, such as the Apple Watch, for example. In that sense, the engineers of the Cupertino company will have already finished the development of the final version of iOS 16. But, apparently, the same did not happen with other operating systems.

According to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, there are delays when it comes to software for the iPad and Mac.

Get iPhones ready, iOS 16 is ready

Apple engineers have finished producing the official version of iOS 16. As reported by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletterthe upcoming iPhone operating system is set for a public release as engineers delivered the final version last week.

It is not uncommon for Apple to release beta versions to developers and public "testers" of an operating system that has been in development for a few weeks.

As we are already in iOS 16 beta 6 and public beta 4, Apple is ending its testing cycle just a few weeks before the September 7 event rumor - as also reported by Bloomberg.

The iOS 16.0 update, which Apple engineers finished work on this past week, is expected to be released in September, along with watchOS 9. These updates will correspond with the new hardware. The macOS Ventura and iPadOS updates, on the other hand, are now scheduled for October (after delays related to Stage Manager in the iPad software) to match the new hardware lineup.

Gurman said.

Will there be no new iPads or Macs?

Keeping this in mind, following the introduction of the iPhone 14 series and the new Apple Watch models, Apple will also announce when it will release iOS 16, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 - the latter has not seen major updates this beta cycle.

What's also interesting is that macOS Ventura and iPadOS 16 will see a release a month later, when Apple is expected to announce new Macs and iPads within days.

This will be the perfect time for Apple to once again address the benefits of Stage Manager and other continuity features that will be available with these releases.

iOS 16 brings a new lock screen, deeper focus mode integration, new functions for Messages and FaceTime, etc.

Thus, with the end of iOS 16 development, Apple should already start production of iOs 16.1. For this other operating system, it is likely that Apple is planning to release some new features yet to be presented.
