iOS 16 public beta 3 now available with new battery percentage icon

This past Monday, August 8, Apple released the fifth beta version for programmers. As expected, today, the company launched the same public beta of iOS 16. So, if you want to test and are enrolled in the Cupertino company’s beta testers program, you can now download and check out the good news.

For the general public, as usual, this new operating system for the iPhone will only be available at the end of September. But there are those who are already testing and with great quality.

Apple released iOS 16 beta 5 and brought some new features. Inside the equipment is now a more polished operating system, despite being a beta version, and less "glutton". In addition, some new features were released.

Among these good news is the percentage that has returned to the battery icon in the status bar, there is the new AirPods information menu and there is the insertion of the Copy and Erase option in the screenshot menu.

What devices work with the new beta?

The final versions of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 will arrive alongside the new iPhone 14 models this fall, but if you don't want to wait that long, you can download the public beta via of Apple Beta Software Program. Just remember that this is an early version of new software and there is always a chance to find bugs.

To participate in public betas, you will then need to sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program on the Apple website, as explained here.

In addition to this registration, you must have a device that supports the new iOS 16/iPadOS 16.

How to download and install iOS 16 public beta 3

As you all know, installing the latest beta version of iOS or iPadOS on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch couldn't be easier. Just navigate to Definitions > General > Software update and tap “Download and Install” at the bottom of that page.
