Apple wants that at the end of 2022 iPhone 14 publish. Some information about the new flagship of the US group is already known. Some functions and design elements have come to the public in the form of patents and leaks. Such a device could now also give us a first look at the display of the smartphone.

iPhone 14 with a punch-hole design?

For several months it has been speculated that Apple will do without the notch with the iPhone 14. Instead, the developer from Cupertino, California, should use a punch hole, i.e. a round hole in the display, for the front camera. A blurred picture that is currently making the rounds on Twitter is intended to substantiate this theory. It supposedly shows the display unit of the new Apple phone.

“This is probably really for the 14 Pro / Pro Max. Just a warning, the perforation is the middle piece. The hole next to it is a reflective part for the Face ID module, which in turn covers the point projector. It will not be visible from the outside. “

The alleged leaker does not provide any further information about the source or the image itself. It is therefore difficult to judge whether this is actually the display module of the iPhone 14 or a fake. The well-known leaker @dylandkt confirmed the pill-shaped design of the punch hole and also reports that the iPhone 14 Pro relocates the Face ID under the display.

Apple does without a SIM card

While the above information is still controversial, we are already getting the next leak from a more reliable source. According to @dylandkt, Apple should do without a physical SIM card on the iPhone 14. That means that the group would rely exclusively on the eSIM for this year’s model, which has been with us for several generations.
