LG announces new line of soundbars for 2022 in versions with up to 810W and 9.1.5 channels

THE LG presented in the last week the The company’s Soundbars lineup for 2022. Initially, the models would be shown to the public during CES 2022, an electronics fair held in Las Vegas, in the United States, but the company chose not to hold in-person events there.

Thus, the reveal of six new Soundbar models was restricted to a press release. The models in question, from the simplest to the most sophisticated, are as follows: LG SPQ8, LG S60Q, LG S65Q, LG S80QY, LG S90QY and LG S95QR.

The last model on the list, the Soundbar LG S95QR, is the main highlight among the launches. With 9.1.5 channels and 810W of power, the wireless model uses artificial intelligence to adjust the sound to the environment, thanks to AI Room Calibration technology.

LG SPQ8

The simplest among all announced models, the LG SPQ8 SoundBar has 140W of power and 2 channels, and is also compatible with rear speakers.

LG S60Q

A little more powerful, the SoundBar LG S60Q reaches 300W of power and offers 2.1 channels, with a wireless subwoofer and Dolby Atmos support.

LG S65Q

The third model on the list is the LG S65Q SoundBar. There are 380W of power in 3.1 audio channels, with Meridian equalization and DTS Virtual X sound technology.

LG S80QY

With 3.1.3 channels, the LG S80QY SoundBar reaches 470W of power, supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Another highlight is the center speaker. EQ is done by Meridian.

LG S90QY

Providing greater immersion for the viewer, the LG S90QY SoundBar has 5.1.3 channels and reaches 580W of power. Like the others, it is compatible with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and has sound calibration made by Meridian.

LG S95QR

Closing the list we have the most advanced model of the new lineup with 9.1.5 channels and 810W of power. With cinematic surround sound, the model has a center speaker and six-channel rear speakers, as well as two HDMI ports (one eARC) and VRR and ALLM support.

Après the announcement of the six models, LG did not go into details about the technical specifications of each of them. The company also did not confirm pricing or release dates.
