M-RCV: This is the new Israeli tank… that has no driver

With the war between Russia and Ukraine, other countries have been showing their heavy and smarter artillery. An example of this was the Israeli Defense Ministry who recently made the M-RCV known.

This new combat tank, circulates without a crew and has a system to transport drones.

M-RCV is equipped with various recognition systems

Israel recently unveiled a new autonomous armed robotic vehicle that will enter testing as early as 2023. This combat vehicle is capable of operating unmanned and autonomously and is equipped with different reconnaissance systems. The vehicle was designated the Medium Robotic Combat Vehicle (M-RCV). The M-RCV's capabilities include a highly autonomous solution for advanced reconnaissance and controlled lethality in off-road conditions. This vehicle can work during the day and at night, in the most diverse scenarios.

This "weapon" was presented for the first time at the Eurosatory defense fair held in Paris and integrates several "state-of-the-art technologies". It can carry heavy loads and perform advanced maneuvers.

It is also known that many companies cooperated to build this new "weapon". The robotics platform was the work of BL Advanced Ground Support Systems, while a 30mm machine gun turret was designed by the ministry's Directorate of Tanks and APC, which is under the purview of the ministry's Directorate of Defense Research and Development.

Furthermore, the active defense system was developed by Elbit Systems and the missile launcher that can launch “Spike” anti-tank missiles by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems was developed by Israel Aerospace Industries.
