Probably the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about Black Hole it’s destruction. After all, everything that comes too close to this extremely dense body as it is absorbed. Or as we learned: nothing escapes, not even light. Another idea we can have is to imagine that they are “dimensional portals”. But NASA is watching a Black Hole that is helping to form your galaxy.
Black hole spews “ingredients” into its galaxy
It is speculated that at the center of most galaxies there is a supermassive black hole (but no, there is no risk that they will “swallow” the galaxies whole). And the NASA, using the Hubble found in dwarf galaxy Henize 2-10 a Black Hole that is expelling material for formation of stars around you. THE Henize 2-10 (named after the astronomer and astronaut Karl Gordon Henize) is a galaxy in an intense process of star formation, with two such regions around the center, just where the Black Hole Its located.
Henize 2-10 has a very high rate of star formation. And furthermore, your current condition is similar to the beginning of the universe. With your Black Hole expelling gases into the dust cloud of the “stellar nursery”, astronomers will be able to study the process of formation of the galaxies and, who knows, understand the relationship between the supermassive black holes and bigger galaxies.
As explained in the video above, material absorbed by black holes can be ejected out, in the form of gases, due to intense magnetic forces. However, the supermassive holes expel the gases at too high a speed for them to feed the stellar nurseries (nebulae). Lucky for us, the Henize 2-10 black hole it has a size that allows these gases to “supply” the star-forming region.
In life, we learn by observing the elders and also the younger ones. At astronomy the philosophy is the same. We see stars dying, galaxies merging, and we learn about our future. with the young Henize 2-10, is one of the moments to learn more about our creation.
