Netflix: Fans are calling for a discontinued series

There is a petition on the platform that has now been signed by more than 127,000 fans (as of December 30, 2021, 9.33 am) that they want the Netflix series “Julie And The Phantoms” back.

“This show brought so much happiness to so many people and inspired so many to follow their dreams. We all really want to see more of this fantastic show, cast and crew, ”it says on the site.

Netflix canceled the series

Why Netflix canceled the series is not known. On the review page Rotten Tomatoes we can clearly see how well “Julie And The Phantoms” was received by the audience: 93 percent of all 27 reviews are positive. On IMDb, users give an average of 8.5 out of 10 stars (with more than 8,700 votes).

Kenny Ortega, one of the directors of the Netflix series, confirmed the cancellation on Instagram on December 18, 2021:

“Our ‘Julie and the Phantoms’ family would like to send our love and endless thanks to our Fantoms around the world for the tremendous love and support you have shown us since our premiere. We learned this week that Netflix is ​​not giving us a second season. Although our hearts are sad, we keep going, proud of what we have achieved as a team and of the family we have built since ‘Julie’. We hope that you will continue to accompany our work and career. .[…]”
