The devices of the iPhone 14 series are expected to be launched in the fall of this year. The smartphones from the US developer Apple have a lot to offer and are eagerly awaited by fans. But a China cell phone has already appeared that at least looks like a new iPhone could go through – if it weren’t for the operating system thing.

The new “iPhone” is the Gionee G13 Pro

A concept has just appeared that suggests Apple could copy the design of the iPhone 14 Pro from Google. But this is just a concept. The Chinese producer Gionee goes a decisive step further. His now-released G13 Pro looks like a new iPhone, but runs on HarmonyOS, Huawei’s in-house operating system.

According to Notebookcheck, the company has already started selling the Gionee G13 Pro on JD.com. There it costs 529 yuan. Converted, this corresponds to around 73 euros at the current exchange rate. The cell phone looks confusingly similar to the iPhone 13. For comparison: At Amazon, this model from Apple currently costs between 800 and 900 euros.

In addition to the housing of the G13 Pro, similarities are particularly evident in the arrangement of its cameras. Both the notch and the square camera module on the back of the cheap cell phone look almost the same as on the Apple flagship.

The real iPhone 14

If we take a look at what a new 2022 iPhone could actually bring, the differences become all the more apparent. According to previous information, Apple wants to do without the notch. The iPhone 14 (Pro) should instead rely on a punch-hole design.

There are still discussions about the technology behind the screen. If various rumors and leaks suggest that the US company wants to equip its new flagships with LTPO displays, the well-known industry observer Ross Young is certain that this will not be the case with the iPhone 14.
