o2 cloud with 5 GB: who is it for?
There is actually no catch: All o2 contract customers receive free access to o2 Cloud 5 GB. The cloud is not only reserved for smartphones. You also have the option of uploading data from your desktop computer, tablet or notebook to the cloud. Nevertheless, there are system requirements to be able to use the cloud smoothly:

o2 Cloud Flex: Endless storage space
Hobby photographers and passionate collectors know that the five gigabytes of o2’s free cloud can fill up quickly. For this case, o2 has its Cloud Flex tariff up its sleeve, which prepaid customers can also add to their tariff. The rule also applies here that individual files must not be larger than 2 GB, but overall there is no limit in terms of storage space. The o2 Cloud Flex is free of charge per month, after that 4.99 euros will be charged per month. In return you get advantages that are not included in the free o2 cloud.
The o2 Flex option includes the function that all data is checked by a virus scanner before it is uploaded to the cloud. The o2 cloud app should convince Flex customers: the presentation is contemporary. When you open the app, one of your photos greets you as the picture of the day. Using the smart search function, you can easily find the photos in the created photo galleries: Enter what you see in the photo and the app will present you with the snapshots that match your search query. This works flawlessly with places, objects or even people.
You can also create slide shows and share them with friends. Whether creating music playlists, backing up data or deleting files on the smartphone memory from the app: the o2 cloud is very easy to use.
How secure is the data in the o2 cloud?
If you upload your data treasures to the o2 cloud, they will be stored on servers in the EU. So you don’t have to worry about losing anything. You also benefit from the data protection regulations applicable in the EU. If you cancel your contract with o2 or no longer want to use the cloud, the stored data is still available for 30 days after the cancellation date and can therefore be downloaded.
Free cloud with many advantages
There are many cloud providers. All the better if you can compare. Since the o2 cloud is free for the first month, you can take your time to get an idea of the service.
