OnePlus should be working on its first pair of true wireless stereo (TWS) headphones with the company’s Nord branding. Renders of the alleged TWS headphones were shared by an insider and show a pair of black headphones with flat temples. The company recently launched the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G smartphone and is working on a new OnePlus Oscar smartphone that is expected to launch in Q2 2022 (Q2 2022). However, OnePlus has yet to officially reveal any details about Nord-branded TWS headphones or a new smartphone.

According to renders shared by 91Mobiles, courtesy of tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks), the OnePlus Nord TWS headphones feature a black design with a gold circular button that can double as a touch panel or hardware button. The earbuds are also shown with wide, flat temples, rather than the more common rounded temple design found on TWS headphones such as the OnePlus Buds Pro and AirPods Pro.

Based on the renders, it looks like the OnePlus Nord TWS headphones might come with an in-ear design and silicone tips. Per the report, the insider notes that the renders are based on live footage of the final-stage prototyping units and there may be some changes when the headphones are released. The headphones’ specs are currently unknown, including battery backup, water resistance, or features like active noise cancellation, ambient sound mode, or low-latency gaming mode.

Meanwhile, OnePlus must be working on another smartphone codenamed Oscar, according to a 91Mobiles report citing informant Yogesh Brar. The smartphone is said to be part of the company’s flagship smartphone series and could debut in Q2 2022 as the OnePlus 10, according to the report. Additional details of the alleged smartphone are currently unknown, and OnePlus has yet to reveal information about the smartphone or its specifications.
