The Department of Health has opened the agendas so that boys and girls born in the years 2010, 2011 and 2012 can request an appointment for the vaccine against Covid-19. The system to obtain it is through the self-appointment on the web and the Salud Informa app.
Aragon received 36,000 doses of children’s vaccine this Monday. The forecast is that some 18,000 doses will arrive in the first week of January and that supplies will continue at later dates. The staggered arrival of pediatric vaccines is the reason why the opening of agendas is also going to be staggered, starting with the three mentioned cohorts, which number around 40,000 boys and girls. As vaccine is available, the summons will be opened to the rest of the age ranges up to five years.
The general citation procedure will be the self-appointment system, although in some rural health areas other vaccination strategies could be agreed. Except in these cases, the summons for children will be made through the Salud Informa website or the application, so that as was already the case with adults, each user will see the available agendas, mostly in the afternoon hours at first days, and you can choose the time you consider most appropriate.
It should be remembered that the childhood vaccination regimen is two doses of 0.2 ml of solution, separated by an interval of eight weeks. For the vaccination of the last cohort, the five-year-old, the children must be that age already reached (born in 2016 or later).
