Embarking on the newest technological trend, the operator TIM will open its first store in Metaverso this Thursday (27th). For this, the company will use the Cryptovoxels platform, which works as a kind of virtual universe.
On Cryptovoxels, users can buy virtual land, create custom spaces, set up stores, art galleries, and more. The platform is powered by the Ethereum blockchain, used to validate transactions. Click here to access the TIM Store in Metaverso.
According to Exame Magazine, the TIM’s virtual store in Metaverso will be entirely based on the company’s newest physical store, also inaugurated today at Barra Shopping, Rio de Janeiro. It is a concept store, which “marks the beginning of a new experience in the customer journey, full of innovation and entitled to the arrival in the new layer of reality that integrates the real and virtual worlds”, according to the source.
Two floors to explore in the Metaverse
THE construction of TIM’s virtual store in Metaverso was carried out by the MetaMundi agency – result of the partnership between Dellarte Soluções Culturais and Metaverse Agency. In the virtual world, the space will be divided into two different floors that can be freely explored.
The first floor is a simulation of the real store, including the decor elements and overall aesthetics. already the second floor, accessed via “teleport”, contains a Gamer area highlighting some of TIM’s products and partners. According to the creators, consumers will be able to “test” smartphones and other equipment in the virtual space. If they choose to purchase, there will be links that will take them directly to TIM’s sales site.
Bruno Vasconcellos, director of e-commerce and remote channels at TIM Brasil, says that the choice of Cryptovoxels was due to the fact that this Metaverse space is “the most inhabited by brands and, mainly, by Brazilians“, highlighting the importance of including people in this new technology.
The company expects to also launch a virtual event arena (focused on music and entertainment) in the first quarter of 2022. Meanwhile, the new physical store opened in Rio de Janeiro promises to bring a complete testing experience for new devices, with access to features such as 5G and customer service performed by experts.
