OPPO has announced the launch in Malaysia of its new OPPO A76 smartphone. The device is an entry-level model with 4G LTE connectivity that features the 90Hz screen, the Snapdragon 680 chip and the large 5,000mAh battery.
According to the specifications released by OPPO, the new smartphone has a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1612 x 720 (HD+) and a refresh rate of 90Hz, which should offer a good experience for users. The screen also covers 96% of the NTSC color space.
The OPPO A76 is equipped with the aforementioned Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip with eight cores, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging based on SuperVOOC technology. The device also allows users to get an additional 5GB of virtual memory using part of the internal storage, useful for those who have many applications open at the same time.

The camera set of the new OPPO smartphone is very basic, consisting of an 8MP front camera and two rear cameras – the main 13MP and a 2MP for depth detection. Details about the resolution supported for recording videos were not disclosed, but we can expect at least support for Full HD (1080p), which is the maximum supported by the chip used by the device.

Connectivity options include support for 4G LTE networks with a modem that promises download and upload speeds of 390Mbps and 150Mbps respectively, dual SIM chips, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a USB Type-C port. Other features include a fingerprint sensor on the side and IP54 certification for dust and water resistance. The operating system is ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.

Price and availability of the OPPO A76 smartphone
According to OPPO, the OPPO A76 smartphone is now available in Malaysia in black and blue, costing the equivalent of US$ 215 or R$ 1,102. Information leaked in January indicates that a model with 5G connectivity may also be launched, but at the moment we have no further details.
